Florida freshman Maxime Rooney won his first SEC championship Thursday night in the free, posting a time of that ranks first in the nation this season. Rooney explained the excitement of his first SEC championships, how he has progressed in the free this season and why he swam the back Saturday morning at SECs.
Texas A&M&#;s Sarah Gibson has finished first in both the and fly at SECs, cementing her candidacy for SEC swimmer of the meet.
With the morning session off, she sat down for a seven-minute interview where she re-lived her come-from-behind win over Chelsea Britt in the fly and explained how the Aggies are feeling as they push towards another SEC championship.
Gibson also discussed what she got out of her experi
