Elen rhys biography books

Welsh-born Elen is best known for her starring role as glamorous workaholic detective Miranda Blake in  ‘The Mallorca Files’.  Initially broadcast in 2019 and 2021 on BBC One & BBC iPlayer, a third series of the sun-drenched crime drama was released on Amazon Prime in 2024.

2024 also saw her star as the co-lead, opposite Richard Harrington, in brand new Welsh language crime drama series 'Cleddau' ('The One That Got Away') for S4C.

  The show is shot in Welsh and English and she played DI Ffion Lloyd who is investigating the shocking murder of a nurse in a small Welsh coastal town. The BBC will release the English version in 2025.  

In 2023, she played Fiona, mum of privileged schoolboy Archie who is accused of raping a working class black girl who also attends his elite private school in 'Consent' on Channel 4.
